Assisting relationships Australia wide

Research shows that therapy in an intensive, concentrated format can be most effective in creating a lasting connection to repair a relationship.
If you’re feeling lost, stuck, overwhelmed or unsure how to move forward in your relationship and are looking for a faster therapy approach to traditional weekly or fortnightly sessions, The Relationship Retreat could be suitable for you.
We celebrate and respect that people choose to create romantic partnerships in many ways and are affirming of all.
Facilitated exclusively by Nest Psychotherapy & Counselling founder, Tracy Proud, The Relationship Retreat is modelled on The Gottman Method, an evidence-based approach to relationship counselling delivered over two highly focused and uninterrupted days.
This unique method is hope and future-focused with outcomes centred around getting your relationship back on track quickly through intensive discovery and immersive therapy with the time and space to connect without distraction.

What to expect from the Relationship Retreat
The goal of intensive relationship therapy is to effectively deep dive into the issues you are facing as both individuals and in your relationship, with valuable insight, tools and techniques to enhance your relationship over two days, Tuesday & Wednesday, or Saturday & Sunday. While the experience is different for everyone, you can expect to work through ways to:
- Strengthen your friendship and intimacy through a deeper understanding of each other’s values and deep needs
- Rediscover yourself and how you have come to be who you are, understand attachment and how love and relationships are taught to us as children
- Create a blueprint and agreement on how to engage and have fun and romance as part of your relationship again

Both of our therapists who offer couples counselling are highly experienced and trained (to Level 2) in the evidence based Gottman Method. This approach was originally designed to be used in what the Gottman Institute call ‘Marathon Sessions’ Tracy has designed TRR in line with this approach.
It offers an immersive and uninterrupted approach where you can fully focus on arguably the most important relationship in your life. People have reported after completing this work with Tracy that it has been ‘life changing’ and that they ‘feel more connected than ever before’
TRR is often the best fit for people who have busy lives and are unable to take time away from work or other commitments every week for many months as we work together for 2 consecutive days.
Traditional weekly therapy which is offered by Bryan uses the same techniques as Tracy and is best for people who would like to space out their sessions on a weekly basis rather than carving out the block of time.
